At least my wife has gotten to the point where she will only say "We should" a half a dozen times on any one project before she realizes WE aren't going to do that. (She then goes and hires a professional and quits bugging me). I've totally remodeled 2 of our houses by myself and just can't get into it anymore. I keep reminding her that when we built our last house from the ground up when I retired it was (according to her) "perfect". Apparently perfect only lasts about 2 or 3 years now days.

My cousin has built all 4 of their houses from the ground up. His wife is usually still trying to make changes after the walls are up.
