Imagine the type of left turn where you had to swerve right a bit first?

My route is in the country and intersections are rarely squared off. Like an intersection I was at today, the road I was on curved to the right just before the stop sign. I needed to cross over the main road to go straight. My right turn signal came on. To cancel that, I have to turn the wheel to the left JUST enough but not too much or then the left signal comes on. Sometimes I'm doing it multiple times while the person in front and/or behind me is probably thinking WTF?!
