It was many years ago. The car show was one of those things I said I would do sometime before I died. As soon as I mentioned to a buddy he quickly said, "well book it let's go!!" The rest, as they say, is history.
Got to have a passport to get to Canada now.

Lol, just got back and popped on to hear about the palace ( which is ULTRA close) and the auto show ( which they are STILL in teardown mode- that is a MASSIVE show)...

Such a sight to see as well. Amazing the pageantry that they put on there every year. We even took one of the VW models to lunch one day. Incredible redhead.

As far as the Palace, originally we wanted to go to a Redwings game but it turns out they don't play at home when the car show is going on. Parking seems to be an issue LOL. But the Pistons game was still cool to go to.

Yup. I go every year to Niagara for a Honda CRX meet (go ahead, make fun. @cosmo1 does). I've had a passport for years so it's not an issue.

Actually, a few weeks ago I took some plebeian Civic with v-tec down to Manheim. I got into it a couple times in that section of 83 between 81 and 283. Kinda fun, not as fun as the STI the week before, but........

Oh yes they do have home hockey games now, just not on the day of the Charity preview- ( the night before). On Sunday afternoon during the auto show this year there was the red wing game also, and Something going on at the Fox Theatre all at once...

Ahh, maybe it was just that year that we went. I would have preferred a hockey game. I mean, how many times do you get to go to Joe Louis Arena unless you're from the Detroit area?
