I would think drivers working on the western portion of the time zone have it better. For example, Dana IN- sunset today is 6:52 PM, whereas Newark NJ- 5:58 PM.

Drivers at the western end get almost a extra hour of sunlight.

So it still will be some light well after 7 PM. Peak season it must not get dark until around 6 PM, which is not bad.
