Drivers just don't get a s* wage honestly the drivers I've worked with agree we are getting screwed and would stand up w me in a union meeting but the problem is other people won't stand up so it comes off as a minor issue when they could keep quality workers if they didn't treat us like poop they just need a better pay differential after 6month to a year to rope us in

KILL KILL!!
How was your Saturday?

It's cold as heck and the mall was full of ppeoplr lol

It was good! Spent a lot of time with a couple buddies. Had a few drinks. Caught up with each other. Was a great day as a whole! My other buddy said there was a red headed waitress I need to go talk to. So I'm sure that'll be a dumpster fire lol

The health insurance we get after a year is insane. I don't believe for a second that any incentives for staying on for a year will work. Raise the starting wage, period. $15.00/unskilled, $16.00/skilled.

Not even that when I was at a subsidiary of ups working in the office I got hired at 13.00 and by time I left it was 14.50 union work and it was 13.00 for stArting people w benefits they screw over the people that have to do the real hard work until they have a contract worth of seniority and that's why it's a revolving door can't get enough quality workers commited

Sadly, that's the way they want it. UPS wants you to last long enough to be competent for a few months, but not long enough that they have to start paying your insurance and other benefits.

And the union...They make a killing on initiation fees. They want people to quit right after they finish paying the fee, so someone new can take their place, and start paying the fee themselves.

It's bull****.

It doesn't help mysteward doesn't have to pt dues and is probably in bed w mgmt I'd gladly be a steward and learn as I go and stand up for older and younger workers I would pick no favorites as long as you're a teAmster and stand up for your brother
