im being serious, you used to get an extra dollar loading trucks, now you dont. I still have my dollar though because i was granfathered in

The contract says that skilled workers get a raise, and that preloaders are skilled workers. I can't imagine how UPS gets away with that without corruption at the local union. It's clear as crystal, the language isn't even the slightest bit ambiguous.

yes thats part of the pay rate now, we got an additional doller added to r pay. Now it is already factored in

This conversation is a prime example of why I want skilled pay rates eliminated in the next contract.

There's so much :censored2:ery and favoritism going on it's ridiculous. Integrity my ass.

i dont even know what they consider a skilled worker anymore, a lot of these people arent skilled

It's stupid. Anybody that's certified to do a job that not just anyone can come in and do should be considered skilled. Irreg trains, hazmat, auditors, washers, etc..

It's dumb. It's like I said, the $1/hr raise is being used to motivate some, harass others, and blackmail at least one other where I am. It needs to be taken out of the next contract. No skilled jobs, starting rate of $14.00/hr. No bonuses unless they apply to all employees.

Existing skilled workers are grandfathered in.

and when i got my 100 i had to pester the center manager to give it to me

I specifically waited until after my 30 days in my current job were done to notify them of overpayment. I finally got my pay right where I wanted it, after 3 months of arguing with the labor manager. I didn't want to mess around until I knew I was staying where I'm at.
