Welcome to summer! It's worse than peak sometimes

Not sometimes. It's hot, we don't have enough workers, and volume is way up.

The way I see it is, at least when it's cold out, you can put on some more clothes. When it's hot there's only so much you can take off before you're hit with sexual harassment/indecency...almost learned that the hard way.

I don't know about my job now, but as a package handler, peak was always a cakewalk. Long days, but easy work.

How's your husband doing with the driving?
I don't know anymore. He got a surprise ride along yesterday. Sup had nothing but good things to say to him. Only lecture he got was for not organizing his truck but when the sup showed up he was just about to take lunch and do that. I'm thinking he just has that :censored2:ty of a route. I'm sure all the new drivers claim that but honestly I've given him all the advice I can and I've done a ton of reading here for time saving ideas. Everything I suggest he's already doing, including the things you suggested when we talked. If anyone has further ideas please send them my way!

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge

But I don't think it's a matter of it being summer, to be honest. Our unloaders don't unload. The primary supervisors pull them off the boxlines and put them in a trailer instead. One unloader starts at 4, and leaves at 8:30 every day. Unloads 5 cars, maybe. Some unloaders don't even start until 8.

It's a mess. The bottom line is, if I start at 6, I could go until 8 o'clock without lifting a damn finger, easy. If they don't want the cars to move until they're unloaded, they won't be moved until they're unloaded. And I will be in the break room if you need me.
