Scalped it because if I don't I can't mow the saint Augustine when it turns green. It's too thick for me to push through. I'm going to be getting rid of the grass section by section. I do a lot of my own yard work...it takes me a while to get the completed aspect so I have to do things in chunks
If you like the grass, since you have scalped it, keep it short and cut every other day or every third day. don't let it get ahead of you, and it will be easy to cut. If you kill it, be careful what you use, it could delay planting new what evers.
