A healthy society tells people it’s ok if they have inoperable cancer or scoliosis or a rare heart condition or depression or whatever. It’s ok. People can be sick. We don’t need to dehumanize people for being different. We should show compassion for one another and move on. Life is too short. The extreme end of having no compassion leads to gas chambers.

I am not convinced at all that feeling as if you were born the wrong sex is a mental illness anyway.
