My husband was involved on the team for about a year. The first couple months we're spent learning the system as it was new to the area.
After that he deployed about 10 buildings. He really enjoyed it- started off as an on road supervisor though for about 10 years.
There was a ton of travel so my advice is to sign up for a rewards system for a couple hotel chains. You we earn quite a bit of free stays.
Be careful on the eating out when you're traveling as the fast food gets old. You will have specialists working for you drawing up the routes and you have to remember a lot of them are young and think it's pretty awesome to have this expense account and traveling away from home. They don't take the job seriously. So you will be dealing with a lot of fixes.
It also comes down to the building being receptive of implementing the changes and trusting the software. If it's not done properly then the gains are horrible.
