Package Handler Day Sort

That will take at least a week
A few months ago that was true. My building is still trying to qualify new drivers at the same time as threatening lay offs. A lot of uncertainties for a new driver right now. I may have to stick around for another couple years.

You’ll load 1000-1800 packages 5 days a week, or you’ll pick off about 4-7k a day. Or you’ll unload a lot of trucks
This.

You may be the guy unloading air cans, or 53 ft trailers. Or you may be the person picking off the belt and sorting said items. Or you may be the person loading air cans or loading 53 ft trailers.

Personally. Unloading is 100 times easier than loading.

The question to ask is, what type of building are you working out of? Some are set up as package car hubs, some deal with incoming volume that needs to be sorted and sent to said PC hubs. Some do both. Some are air only buildings.

There's no day sort at one of the PC hubs in my city. The other building tends to run 24/7. They do all the incoming ground sorts and get 90% of the trailer volumes. Those days sort guys tend to unload for 4-5 hours straight.
