Confused about something. So normally I get my raise on my hire date every year, but how does that work with the new contract? Do I get the contract raise on my hire date, or am I going to have to wait until august to get my raise? Also how does grandfathering in on a contract work?

You are covered by the 2008 contract and will get any raises that you are due based on the schedule laid out in that contract.
