Rumor is the post office is struggling big time.We keep being told that a lot of Smartpost will be hitting Ground this week and next. Today looks a bit busy but nothing critical.

I have no idea what's going on at fedex. All I can say is I've talked the ground guy when we were both at a delivery dock. I looked in his truck and was blown away at how empty it was and I noticed there were zero amazon boxes in it. He said that his route has been totally normal, and that amazon stopped using them. Later in the day I run into the express guy and I asked him if express is getting any amazon and he said they don't get amazon anymore. They could possibly be in the testing phase of not using purple.Sounds like management overstaffed the station. I find it hard to believe routes have nothing to do at a station during this time of year unless they have too many routes to begin with. Our station runs lean on people and makes up the difference with overtime. We stay busy and everyone gets as many hours as you want. Now that vacations are blacked out and everyone is working, we are handling the volume so far. Next week will be crazy with long hours and plenty of stops. It is supposed to be that way, it is peak. If stations have routes doing nothing, it most likely isn't lack of freight, it's too many people.
USPS barcodes?
As in smartpost?
This is true. My friend works for the PO and she said they can't keep up. I saw her still on the road the other night at 1940. She said they're blown out with not enough manpower.Rumor is the post office is struggling big time.
Plenty of Amazon in my Express truck.I have no idea what's going on at fedex. All I can say is I've talked the ground guy when we were both at a delivery dock. They seem poorly organized. This past Sunday I saw 3 different post office trucks drop off packages on my block. One dropped a box at my house, about 30 mins later a different one came for my direct neighbor and about 45 mins after that a third came by for a house across the street.Rumor is the post office is struggling big time.
We have a driver whose package was "tendered to the local post office" on December 7. Has not moved since. This is true. My friend works for the PO and she said they can't keep up. I saw her still on the road the other night at 1940. She said they're blown out with not enough manpower.
Yeah, my friend had to go back to the building twice in one day for mail and they wanted her to come back a third time. She refused. Lol.They seem poorly organized. Same here. Same amount of stops I do on a regular day but my route is a fraction of it's normal size.I'm doing the same number of stops as I do all year (110+) but my route is currently 1/3rd of its normal size and I'm leaving the station an hour later. Peak is here on my route for sure.
I'm up in Seattle area. Amazon's home town. Seattle is where amazon tests out new ideas. This could be one of their new ideas they are testing.Plenty of Amazon in my Express truck.
Oh my god! Please tell me moreI order a new pair of boots from Amazon and the Post Office dropped them off this past Sunday morning.

Seattle is not the middle of BFE where the mail is delivered in some guy driving a Taurus. There are four choices at the moment for Amazon delivery. USPS, UPS, Contractors, and FDX. Once you leave a populated area... typically the contractors disappear. Amazon will always be with one of those three... and there's no way that Amazon would put their eggs in one basket.I'm up in Seattle area. Amazon's home town. Well... that is explainable. Express and ground are two different companies. Now, why ground and HD both showed up was weird unless the ground system won't reassign a "ground" package to HD.Just like ground, home and express came to my house yesterday
I wonder how the Amazon delivery drivers are doing?Rumor is the post office is struggling big time.
We had over 10 box trucks taking Sure post to the Post office. This is true. My friend works for the PO and she said they can't keep up. I saw her still on the road the other night at 1940. She said they're blown out with not enough manpower.
I was the the same thing. LolOh my god! Please tell me more
