Pension Leveling??

PPP questions. What would you estimate a 27 year old employee to end with? Full time will probably work for another 35 years at express and ultimately bid down to part time FO. I really don’t understand the PPP. 3 years of service currently.
Are you certain they will let you stay in the portable pension? Looks like they are planning to push everyone into just a 401k. The portable pension is weighted towards the backend, so to make it work better plan to stay until eligible for full Social Security. If you get tired, bored, frustrated with the job and leave after 20 years you'll lose most of what you would have gotten if you stayed. Doesn't start paying into the plan decently until you top out and max out contribution percentage. And then takes some time to build up. And that's assuming they keep the plan. While you're young start contributing as much as you can into your 401k. It's time plus contributions plus returns that ultimately determines how good your retirement will be. And stay healthy. You can be a hero and run like a dog to prove how great you are. And find your knees and back giving out on you eventually. Don't kid yourself that it won't happen to you. As you age your body naturally breaks down. You accelerate the process by overdoing things. Pace yourself. Your company, and I speak from long experience, wants as much from you as possible for as little as they can get away with paying you. If they were loyal to employees first they would give raises on schedule and there would still be a traditional pension. Profit comes first. It's a great job as far as the work goes but if you can find something that is less demanding that pays as well consider taking it. If you stay at FedEx put your interest first. They are doing the same. Good luck!
