It will get here quicker than you think.

Get your stuff in order

Agreed, PT years seemed to drag forever but going FT has seemed to speed up time. We have a big family but since hitting top rate have been paying everything off and 15% comes out to the 401k without even thinking about it. That’s why hopeful to go at 55 but realistically have to stick out the full 30 and work until 60. We shall see.

The parents are to blame also
They didn’t know much either. We all got ponzi’d.

Don't even bother looking unless you have at least 30 years in----or you will be in for a major disappointment.
If someone is RPCD and didn't start at UPS until late late late in life? That's why I ask about the minimum years and so on. To figure out a timeframe.

Retired 22 years
Unless you are close to retirement I wouldn't worry about it. Things are changing faster at UPS than ever before. The qualifications for retirement will change a dozen times over the next years as pensions continue to get in trouble. It wouldn't even surprise me to see the Teamsters raid those pensions that are actually in the green build up those in trouble. NOTHING is carved in granite.

Just remember too many private companies don't have pensions anymore.
So think of that is gravy on top of your 401k and your social security

Feel sorry for our kids..A vast majority of our young people will only have Social Security and an iffy 401k when they get older. No one hangs around enough to even become vested in a traditional pension plan.

Social Security is a Ponzi for new $ in for old $ out. No services, goods or commodities exchanged.
