Doesn't matter who you vote to go to Washington, they're all the same.

It's a shame more people don't realize the importance of LOCAL political offices. Your local city councilman or school board member is a far more important choice than who will be president.

Voting for Nobody I can truly say I'm never disappointed. No broken campaign promises. No secret transgressions. No secret deals with big money. If you are looking for the perfect candidate, the perfect elected official, then Nobody is who you need to vote for.

"Government is NOT the solution to our problem, government IS the problem."
Ronald Reagan

Great quote! except for one thing, REAGAN DOUBLED THE SIZE OF GOVERMENT in 8 years. REAGAN doubled the size of the post office. REAGAN increased goverment hiring to the highest levels since FDR.

Goes to show you that those lame quotes that get thrown around mean nothing in real world applications.

While I agree with what you are implying here, Reagan did not double the size of government.
I am no fan of Reagan because the National government increased by 0.1% of the GNP during his presidency.
He also pushed a lot of government costs (programs) from the National government down into the State and local governments.
Therefore, the net effect is that the National government increased spending by about 20% during his presidency ... much of that in defense spending.
Russia could not spend as much as the US on Defense and so he caused the fall of Russia more by economic means than ideological.

Some people like following politics, so people don't like to follow politics. I do so I thought I would start a poll.
Just seeing what political party is most prominent with people on here:

Unlike "Limper" if you don't want to vote, then don't. No need to be a smartarse, it's a pretty simple concept.

You seem to have a very naïve view of political parties. I see one centrist party and 3 basically right wing parties. If you would add Green Party and Socialist Party, I might be able to participate. This "choice" you offer is part of the problem. It sort of resembles what the corporate, mainstream media offer us day in day out: a gaggle of a sort-of-liberal moderate, an angry conservative, a clueless tea party member, and a gay, pot smoking, ayn randian libertarian. YAWN!!

I see a bunch of crooks. I love following politics, but it is hard to get real news about politics. Fox has a bias to the right, CNBC has a bias to the left, and CNN has a bias to fairness. If republicans declare the world is flat, and democrats declare it is a cube, CNN reports that republicans and democrats can't agree on the shape of the earth, rather than that they are both morons. Facts are not important, only ratings.

Truth is that in national elections it doesn't matter who you vote for, they're all bought already. You're correct that they are all too centrist. No matter what they preach at election time, they will all meet each other soon on the long road to the middle. They'll call it compromise, but it's really just selling out the people who voted them into office.
