I am being told that part timers can only bid on a open 22.3 possition, (22.3 already bid) after Feeder, then it goes to Package, then part time gets whats left if any. Contract says after people in there classifaction bid that bidding goes by Seniority. It does not say Full Time Seniorty as they would like many of us to believe.

P/T employees get first bid (before any friend/T) on any NEW 22.3 job.

When an existing 22.3 job is vacated any friend/T employee may then bid on that position before P/T employees are considered.

When the 22.3 job becomes vacated, can it be bid on by both 22.3 full timers or any full-timer, clerk, driver etc...????

when a job is vacated the start time is offered to those already in that classification (oh, at least that is the way it is suppose to be).....of course, the 22.3 jobs in our hub are an exception......it is suppose to be bid in classification and then the forth move goes to any other full time employees......thus, leaving the start time or job that no one wants to the least senior or newest person in that classification........full timers are suppose to win bids over any part-timer........most of our 22.3 folks don't even know about new start times or jobs, HR is busy looking out for their buddies..........

We do not classify full time employees. If an existing 22.3 job is vacated the job goes up for bid to the most senior full time employee; 22.3, package car driver, feeder driver, mechanic, whatever. This may be different in other locations, but that is how it is in Kentucky.

Do the 22.3 employees have to take a full 1 hour lunch during this 9 hour day? What about the 4 hour day? Any lunch break that day?

We take an hour lunch on our nine hour days and no lunch on the four hour day........i still can't believe our local agreed to this (it has been a few years).....and this was how they dealt with combo jobs once they went to sun-thurs (it messed up the schedule for 22.3s because the shifts don't run back to back everyday)......the local would have NEVER agreed to that for the feeder drivers........our local has made quite a few poor decisions......and we pay them for that.........Ba**ards!

Not here, full timers are GUARANTEED 8 hours, with overtime after 8 hours of work not 40...

Did any 22.3 file a grievance on this?

This sounds like absolute total bs. This should be investigated, for whoever agreed to this should be stripped of their duties.. If the purpose of a 22.3 job is full-time work, how on earth can they only give you 4 hours of work one day?? Btw, on your so-called 9 hour days are you actually working 9 hours with an hour lunch or working 8 hours with an hour lunch. You need to read your union book for wording on guaranteed hours and overtime.

Never mind the agreement, what does your contract book say on hours of work and overtime??????
