Much more than Trump has ... by a long shot.
Trump reacted much quicker on a much more dangerous virus.

April 25
  • The World Health Organization (WHO) declared a public health emergency of international concern.
April 26
  • Obama’s acting director of health and human services declared H1N1 a public health emergency on April 26, 2009.
  • That was when only 20 cases of H1N1 — and no deaths — around the country had been confirmed.

and

PolitiFact - President Obama declared H1N1 a public health emergency before anyone in the United States died

In the spring of 2009, a novel influenza A (H1N1) virus emerged. It was detected first in the United States and spread quickly across the United States and the world. This new H1N1 virus contained a unique combination of influenza genes not previously identified in animals or people. This virus was designated as influenza A (H1N1)pdm09 virus.

Heads up Old, Politifact references all the articles they use for their determination of their truthy-meter...

What you quoted is false.

It’s a big media world out there, and disinformation is rampant.

It’s more and more incumbent on the consumer of news to put some elbow grease in and figure out if they’re just being fed what they want to hear, or if it’s actually true.

The Walter Kronkite days are OVAH!

So, we’re in agreement then...

Obama declared H1-N1 a public-health emergency before the WHO declared it a pandemic, and before any US Citizen died.
This started out as a discussion when Obama (not his acting director of health and human services) reacted to a pandemic by declaring a National Emergency.
Obama did so 6 months after the CDC realized what was happening and after 1000 Americans died and after WHO declared a pandemic.

Trump declared a National Emergency in reaction to the COVID-19 (Hong Fu Flu) virus on March 13, 2020 ... WHO declared a pandemic on March 11th ... 2 days before Trump declares the National Emergency.
The CDC found out about COVID-19 from WHO on January 30, 2010 when WHO declared a global public-health emergency.
On January 31,2020, President Trump bans foreign nationals from entering the US if they were in China within the prior two weeks.

And I’ll stick with everything I said.

Also, it’s ‘Kung-Fu Flu’ sir.

It’s true that Obama didn’t declare a National Emergency until later, but that’s not what I said.
The LibTurd reaction is to the right-wing pundits assertion that Obama did not declare a National Emergency until 6 months after it was understood it was a new virus and after 1000 Americans died.

I understand that the H1N1 virus was different in transmissibility and mortality but the pundits spin is factually accurate albeit unfair.
