Bill Maher's return from the long holiday break was fun to watch last night. Democratic Representative from New York Ritchie Torres was trying to cover for the Party with obvious mistruths and diversions (as Biden has been doing) while Bari Weiss and Bill Maher kept reeling him back in to reality.

Yep. He and Bari told Ritchie they were being tough on the Democrats not because they hate them or are against them, but because they want them to do well. Think I agree with Bari on just about everything.
It's becoming more and more clear to me that a distinction can be made between liberals like Bill Maher and the hard left, which a lot of them do not support. They embrace the liberal lifestyle and ideals but not the kind of religious hard leftism we've been seeing from the Democrats at least since Trump became President (which might be why the Democrats massively underperformed in down ballot races in November 2020) and certainly since the George Floyd incident.
The majority wanted Trump out of office. I sure did. And so I still don't regret my vote for Biden. But man, he is not the moderate President @It will be fine promised he'd be. And Americans really don't like that, which is why Biden has been crashing in polls since his inauguration.

I watched his opening monologue on YouTube. Seems to me Maher made quite a few excuses himself for Biden. I truly wish Dems could have gotten past Trump's personality and focused on his policies. And much of what Democrats hated was made up BS given to them by a coordinated effort for 4+ years to get Trump removed. Tell me, has Biden done anything impeachable? The Afghanistan debacle, the open border policy with the government flying illegals all over the country, the collusion with Russia. I threw in that last one because he slammed our oil and gas production here while removing sanctions against Russia, allowing them to finish their pipeline to Europe. And then in his press conference basically gave a green light to Russia to invade Ukraine. That's a lot more aid and comfort to Russia than Trump ever gave yet who gets the blame?

It was only the hatred for Trump that was infused and fed in your brain; plus the harvesting and cheating that got this incompetent do-nothing for 48 years, multi-millionaire into that office.

Yes. And I hope the Republicans get that done when they become the majority. Highly avoidable / massive consequence stuff like that can't go unchecked.
It was about more than Trump's personality for me. But all sides will never agree on that, which is fine.

You act as if that’s a surprise. It’s Miami-Dade. Everyone knows that area is Democratic. Of course they’d vote for her. She’s promising free stuff. Great thing is, if you look at a map of the state of Florida, Miami-Dade is one of a very few blue counties in Florida.
And they don't all vote Democratic. DeSantis will get plenty of votes from there.

Cubans strongly support him
I'm reading that lately that's the older generations who vote Republican. Cubans in their 20's not so much. People have short memories.
