President Biden

I know, right? And they say all his speaking is designed to "rile up his base". Well, who cares? His base isn't enough to beat Biden (allegedly....).
The only reason to keep talking about President Trump is to keep the focus off Dementia Joe.
Neither of them are kings!

There are no real debates on policy anymore that both parties can agree will help the country.

No one has the balls to work with the other party to accomplish anything.

Yes they are refusing to cooperate
We've seen this playbook before.
Under donald the debt ceiling was never an issue, but now that Biden is in charge, McConnell has put the faith and credit of the US in the balance.

McConnell told Punch Bowl News, "I can’t imagine there will be a single Republican voting to raise the debt ceiling after what we’ve been experiencing.”

There's big spending and then there's proposing multiple multi-trillion dollar spending packages meant to achieve utopia and racial equity in all things, eh?

To pay for the infrastructure bill Biden’s plan was to close the “tax gap”( the amount of taxes currently owed but not paid). It’s a huge number. In 2019 it totaled $574 billion, and is estimated to reach $7 trillion over the next 10 years. That’s equal to the amount of federal income taxes that the bottom 90 percent of individual earners pay in federal taxes every year.

There you go making :censored2: up again. The IRS site lists tax gaps from 2011-2013 (Obama years).....That's when the Dimocrats were stealing from each other like a pack of starving hoodrats...
Why do you people make up such lies all the time??

I posted this last month. I highly doubt much of what's in current Democratic spending proposals is related to the actual infrastructure issues. Calling everything the Democrats want funded infrastructure doesn't seem reasonable to me. And I also highly doubt that additional revenue extraction from the wealthy will be enough to fund both this and the other multi-trillion dollar packages that are already passed or proposed.

Dems Plan To Raise Taxes | Current Events

How much of the proposed $2.25 trillion total would take care of those issues?

NO! You're making :censored2: up because the IRS website does not list 2019 tax gap info.....

Quit making :censored2: up! In 2029, they may have 2019 information available....I guess you are too naive to understand the pace that things move....

The bipartisan infrastructure deal is for $579 billion. Repubs are balking at using the "tax gap"($574 billion in 2019 alone) to pay for it.

Wah wah I want the government to accomplish stuff wah wah.
My favorite part of the Trump presidency was when the government shut down. Hopefully we can reach that kind of stand still after 2022.

Six of one, half dozen of the other.

"While centrist senators try to finalize the bipartisan plan, Senate Democrats are also working on another $3.5 trillion package they plan to pass with only Democratic votes. Republicans are warning against the plan saying it will only fuel inflation."
