The failures had to do with the withdrawal itself. How it was conducted. When someone says “Man, Joe really ed up that withdrawal from Afghanistan”, someone answering with “Ok, let’s stay there another decade or two then” really doesn’t make sense.

Fourth administration this war has seen. Nobody seemed to want to do this, despite promising to do so. I’ll take a ed up withdrawal over none at all.
