In my FT job we can't get steel, aluminum ,PVC, products with chips and LED components etc. Delivery forecasts are running way out 12 to 20 weeks and it is not because factories are over loaded ,they cannot get raw materials. Price increases are occurring monthly when in the past it was maybe every 2 years. I spend half my day expediting orders if even the factories will answer the phone. Right at this moment I have an email about an order for 30 foot of a product backordered since July 14th. The old adage applies the blame starts at the top, with your hero the addled dysfunctional commander in chief Ole Sleepy Joe.

So any explanation other than what you believe is unacceptable? Refusing to allow any further exploration and drilling on Federal lands makes the current oil being pumped out more valuable. You put limits on supply and prices go up. And Democrats have stated their goal is to make gas prices high enough that alternative fuels will become viable and consumers will turn to them.
So right now it's substantive stuff big oil has to say about the causes of rising gas prices versus the Biden Administration speculating that it must be due to anti-competitive forces or illegal conduct and asking the FTC to go on a fishing expedition in an effort to reinforce their baseless claims.
That is some quality maneuvering by Biden and friends.
