This was a speech designed to establish a specific group as a political "other." An "other" that is a threat to the nation, a threat to democracy and a threat to the established political order. Threats must be eliminated.

I'm not some maga fanatic but this was one of the most divisive and dangerous presidential speeches that I've ever heard.

Joe Biden needs his Reichstag Fire by November, and he may just get it.
