How would one expect Trump to divest completely? We're talking about a family run business with many billions in assets. We're talking selling every single building and asset and firing and divesting his sons/family.

You might as well make a Constitutional amendment saying that those in business cannot run for office - any public elective office without giving away their whole life. Basically, only lawyers need apply. It's already mostly lawyer backgrounds in office and look at how that has worked out.

They have gained standing in the past because the ethical breech kept them from their other duties/responsibilities. The ethics concerns are bi-partisan by the way.

No, slow one. All that is required for Trump to put all of his assets into a blind trust is one signature on a piece of paper. He won't do it. Giving it to his sons doesn't pass the smell test...at all.

He LOVES The Constitution and has promised to appoint a Scalia-like Originalist to the SCOTUS, which will never happen because he needs 60 votes in the Senate. That means a more moderate pick.
