The current ban is blocking green card holders from returning to the country. These are legal immigrants with legal residence not being allowed to return to their families. It's a disgrace to America.

That's nice and all but I have this fascination with religion, study of the human experience kind of thingy, so I prefer direct quotes from religious texts to support alleged religious claims. Islam in some sense is like protestant christianity in that any given preacher can make a claim, even privilege a text to prove the claim but this doesn't translate to the entire body of christians. This is how you have a Westboro Baptist Church yet so few christians take their same conclusions as fact.

The federal court for the Eastern District of New York issued an emergency stay halting President Donald Trump’s executive order banning entry to the US from seven majority-Muslim countries tonight, following widespread protests at airports around the country.

The court ruled on a habeas corpus petition filed by the ACLU on behalf of Hameed Khalid Darweesh and Sameer Abdulkhaleq Alshawi, who were denied entry to the US upon landing at JFK airport in New York City and detained indefinitely by Customs and Border Patrol. Darweesh spent a decade working for the United States military in Iraq as an interpreter and engineer and had been granted an entry visa after background checks; Alshawi had been granted a visa in order to join his wife and son who are already permanent residents of the US after their similar service with the US military.

The Canadian government has failed to get Washington to pay the roughly $250-million (U.S.) needed to build a U.S. Customs plaza on the Michigan side of a new Detroit-Windsor bridge.
