These people are both religious and ethnic minorities. The First Amendment and our principles as a nation are both under attack.

Heil Drumpf!!

He banned travel from a handful of countries. He hasn't banned any religious or ethnic groups. Is this information you guys are getting from fake news such as CNN, NBC, NYT, etc?

The New York Taxi Workers Alliance @NYTWA held a work stoppage in solidarity with protests against the racist #MuslimBan

No surprise there, many of these drivers are Muslim with green cards and some from these very same countries that if they were to go visit, would have issues getting back to America.

The fake news is saying he didn't ban anyone from countries he does business with. Fake? No, true.

Disturbing?

Best interpretation of Trump's relationship with the truth I've seen so far:

Has Donald Trump been caught lying?

"Trump uses language in a different way from most people. Most people use language to communicate. Distinguishing truth from untruth is important when your goal is to exchange information since untruth threatens the effectiveness of communication.

Trump uses language to get what he wants. For his purpose, the distinction between truth and untruth is meaningless. If he got what he wanted, the communication was terrific and if he didn't it was terrible. This is why he sometimes seems baffled when people question his veracity. To Trump, only a fool would expect his words to be true; that is not what words are for..."

Great read.

"...Whether you think he speaks the truth or lies depends on how you personally process communication. If your internal truth function is based on literal meanings, almost everything he says is a lie. You can prove it to yourself. Go find any Trump speech online and pick the first fact he asserts. Then google that fact. It won’t take long to find evidence disproving it. But if your truth function is emotional, you’ll hear his statement another way. You’ll ask if his statement describes feelings similar to your own. If you are in his audience, you’ll resonate to his words like a tuning fork. And if you are not, you will feel visceral disgust."

That's exactly what fake news outlets would say. Think about it. They make a story about this when there are 196 countries and the 7 countries held for review he hasn't done business in. Does this mean he does business in all other 189? It's a pointless observation.

The exact same could be said about every word Obama ever uttered.

You made the claim that all my sources are to be rejected because you have deemed them to be unreliable right wing crap.
So here is a story about CNN on the subject of Reliable Sources.

CNN’s ‘Reliable Sources’ Misidentifies Former Breitbart Report Julia Hahn in Photo

Sunday on CNN during the opening of a segment featuring Breitbart senior editor-at-large Joel Pollak on “Reliable Sources,” the network misidentified former Breitbart News report Julia Hahn, who last week it was announced took a job at the Trump White House as a special assistant to the president.

However, instead of using a photo of Hahn, CNN used the photo of another Julia Hahn who is a German television personality.

The same mistake had been made by other outlets as well, including Salon.

This just in, Obama bans refugees from Iraq for 6 months. Oh wait, that was 2011 and not a single citizen in this country had a problem with it. Weird.

I remember quite a few people had a problem with it. Obama made it harder for Iraqis to get visas. Trump has prevented green card holders, these are legal permanent residents of the US from entering the country. There is a dramatic difference.

During WWII we did not accept persecuted Jews to immigrate to the US. As a result, millions were murdered by the Nazi regime. History is repeating itself now as many will be left to die if not allowed to flee persecution. This coming from the party of life?
Then after the war we openly accept some Nazis if they were engineers or rocket scientists. Think that often we have our priorities screwed up.

A part of our history that people don't like to remember or admit. The US isn't this squeaky clean - goody two shoes nation the majority of the people think we are. I'm all for LEGAL immigrants coming in but we can't just open up our borders to every swinging d* that wants in. NO other nation does that.
