Yeah we are. We definitely have room for major improvements but we can afford them. The angry masses simply need to be shown who's really screwing 'me ugly. Hint: it's not the foreigners or the immigrants.

i know you guys have alot of resources. you have one of hte most violent labor histories, i think i heard the right wing business press of UK was appalled at the lack of social support for US workers pre FDR new deal reforms.
nowadays, its safe to say you (nor canada) definitely are not the greatest country, its certainly one of the nordic countries in EU or one of hte countries there.
Socially maybe but overall I'd still take America.

after i graduate school im planning on going to australia if i cant speak french or italian, or france or italy.
i love the weather in america and how you can pick where you want to live in the country, and i would have moved to america as 3rd or 4th choice but nobody protests at all partly because the left is dead, and you are terribly conservative, and you dont have guaranteed vacation, healthcare, maternity, low unionization rate, and you work too hard, and you have the highest student tuition in the world.
australia on the other hand at least has health care, maternity, they are more laid back, and 4 weeks guaranteed vacation.

i have 5 weeks guranteed vacation
i mean by government law, not what you negotiate with the company. you statistically take less vacation than the countries which regulate 4 or more weeks vacation per year.
ive never been paid 4 weeks vacation because of a combination of there being no regulation for 4 weeks in canada, and on top of that the companies are too greedy, and ive never worked with a company long enough to get 5 weeks or 6
