Looks like they are trying to "strangle" right-to-work issues. Seems to be that they are trying to eliminate those points through the amendment process.

Amendment number 8 also tried to eliminate the verbage that employers could not permanently replace employees on strike. Voted down by voice vote.

Not the first missed opportunity the Dems have had to put their money where their mouths are and actually pass legislation favorable to workers ...

so 700ish days

seems like plenty of time if they actually wanted to do something

Ironically enough the same amount of time Trump had with control of house and senate. Amazing what they accomplished for workers.

Most of our union members seem to vote for union busting politicians.
Lolol. You’re living in fantasyland if you think the Dems are still the working man and women’s party. The Dems are the illegal immigrant, and the people who want to sit home and do nothing all day and wait for handouts party. The Dems want the working man and women’s taxes to help the lazy and disenfranchised. Unions got Obama elected, and then when they turned around and asked him to help get FedEx out from the RLA so their workers could unionize he spit in the Teamsters faces. My 401K is up 28% since the day Trump took office. If that idiot Bernie Sanders ever wins, kiss 50% of your income goodbye. I’ll take the slightly evil, over the extreme evil.

Sounds like something a company man would say.

Joe Biden is The Big Guy
The economy for most people is not as great as trump and his operatives want everyone to believe.

Blame Obama.

“By the time I left office wages were rising ... poverty was falling and that’s what I handed off to the next guy,” he said before chuckling. “So when you hear all this talk about economic miracles right now. Remember who started it. Remember who started it! C’mon!”

Begs the question - was Obama seeing the fruits of the labor completed before he took office, aka the Bush era, and trying to take credit for it?

Let us remember that incoming elected officials are sworn in on January 20th and their first budgets aren't revealed until the first Monday of February. The budgets then pass thru the House and Senate before coming back to the President to be signed into law. These budgets are not put into place until October 1st. So incoming officials are subject to the previous administrations budget for the majority of their first year. Let us also remember job loses topped 700,000 per month thru the midpoint of 2009. The Dow Jones also bottomed out in mid 2009 to 6,600.00 pts down from 14,500.00 just 18 months earlier. I'm not saying that Obama's budgets saved us, but they stopped the bleeding and allowed the economy and markets to reset.

Nothing more than a 2020 ploy.
Look at all the good we are trying to do for unions vote for us middle America!
Then if they win you’ll never hear about it again, nothing but all their great socialist victories and expanding government programs.

People also forget that democrats viewed unions as harmful to their power, Hoffa was considered the second most influential man in America in a bad way. They don’t want you turning to unions for everything and they don’t want workers defying them. They want complete control.

The next president will very likely be sitting over another recession, might not be a bad one, might be the worst one yet. But it very likely will be a recession nonetheless.
I am concerned how this would spin opinions on a Sanders presidency. But would be rolling around laughing seeing Buttigieg or Klobuchar work their corporate shill magic in a recession.
