Question about clerks

I got a friend of mine whos trying to be a center clerk at UPS. Are there any Part time clerks? Is it a union position? Whats the workload like? Not sure what the local would be but its for a ctr in Florida if that narrows down anything

Also from car wash to driver how useful are they?

Clerking is easy money. PT/FT depends on the building. Union in our building. They've cut a lot of clerk positions in the last few years (at least here). It doesn't take long to learn the job.

Without even reading, the post I will just say the answer to your question is yes! Clerks have a very tough and stressful job splitting atoms so if they can’t be bothered by your exceptions and it ends up back on your truck not updated, keep this in mind before you start griping about how lazy they are.
