If it matters I haven't been taking vac time because i do double shifts 3~4 days a week which was more overall pay than the vac time plus my past jobs paid for unused vac and assumed, maybe erroneously if someone would respond without the snark, to be the same here.

Take your vacations and let the younger guys work. The union fought hard to get us this time off.

It's all based on total income at the end. You'll get it back. Same reason overtime is almost always worth it

I budget on far less than 40. The amount of cash I've piled aside in my life is staggering. My wife is on board and while we might not live the high life, we're gonna have it all paid off in our early 30's. Frankly it's th only way I can afford to try and be a full time driver.

I keep a tighter budget than ups. Every cent is accounted for.
