The uncooperative gentleman in the red-orange t shirt is putting the officer in the position to defend himself. Very unwise, since he at that point may have to use deadly force.

If he were indeed a "community leader", he should be stripped of his title. His behavior is the exact opposite of what any citizen, regardless of race, should display during interaction with law enforcement.
