My local Walmart just put in a ton of self checkout machines. Those machines aren't collecting food stamps, Medicaid or having their housing subsidized. The workers they displaced still do but now you can't blame Walmart for that anymore.
actually this is another example of private profits, and socialized costs.

automate enough jobs and capitalism wont work anymore. just wait till they automate truck driver jobs.

trump was recently critical of NBC and their licenses. the major broadcasters are huge corporate welfare queens and should be paying to use the public airwaves.

I would love to have some subsidized housing. But the land around here costs to much, with all those Canadian land barons buying up everything.
