refugees

Obama has budgeted $17,613 for each of the estimated 75,000 Central American teens expected to illegally cross into the United States this year, $2,841 more than the average annual Social Security retirement benefit, according to a new report.

The total bill to taxpayers: $1.3 billion in benefits to “unaccompanied children,” more than double what the federal government spent in 2010, according to an analysis of the administration’s programs for illegal minors from the Center for Immigration Studies. The average Social Security retirement benefit is $14,772.

The report notes that the president’s budget, facing congressional approval, includes another $2.1 billion for refugees, which can include the illegals from Central America, mostly Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

What’s more, the administration is also spending heavily on a program with the United Nations to help the illegal minors avoid the dangerous trip by declaring them refugees and handing them a plane ticket to the U.S. where, once here, they get special legal status.

The United States pioneered the way in terms of refugee resettlement, post WWII.

For us to turn our backs on the refugees that we (likely) had a hand in creating, sends a powerful message to the rest of the world.

The wrong message.

Yes, yes, vet these people to the best of our ability, but we could easily absorb 100K refugees from Syria.

Europe is trying, but they're being eclipsed by their own versions of TRUMP.

We should be monetarily supporting refugee resettlement in Europe, and actively resettling refugees here in the US.

It's quasi-criminal not to do that.

I suggest we resettle them back into the Middle East .
They already know the local languages and customs so adjusting to these surroundings would be easier .

Yes, keep them in their own regions. If there is a problem you don' bring it here.
Those refugees in WWII weren't lines of all men like these refugees fromSyria

Of course I'm a racist .
I live in a very racist country .
My president tells the world that every day , so it must be true .
:censored3:

at some point you have to reject and no longer fear the term racist in order to be able to logically function in this world. Liberals want to use the threat of the racist word to keep free thinking conservatives painted in some corner. If nothing else the Donalds candidacy will now challenge the politically correct chains we have been wearing.

It's the only response the liberals have and it's a bull:censored2: one at that.

How many homeless have you opened up your home to?

I am sure you have room for at least a few.

Typical.

BrownArmy is talking about refugees in a thread about refugees, and you equate it with something unrelated, as if there is some sort of connection between the two.
You want these refugees?

Even though we have almost a million homeless in our country we don't take care of?
