Depends where you are at where I'm at it's $200 for a single $400 for a couple
It's different everywhere.
Ask @Jones how much he is paying a month for health care it's a lot more than that

Does that get you comparable coverage like working employees? I can't imagine for $300 a month it would be comparable

I am thinking about bailing..”almost the same” ... What are the differences between the health coverages for the actives and the retirees?

A big thing is retirees have lifetime limits (that vary between plans) that active employees don't have. Not an issue unless you end up in a hospital or get really sick. Plus yearly deductibles before the plan starts paying anything is higher for most retirees.

Thanks for the info...sure looks like I am here for another couple of peaks...
May even stick around till 70 1/2 and double dip them, already collecting full SS as an active.
Ultimate goal is to feet first .. that will teach them

My vision is almost the same but my dental has that $1500 yearly cap too. Not a problem if you keep going for regular cleanings and don't need a lot of work done.
Division insurance is crappy while you're still employed
It's cheaper for me to go somewhere else than use my UPS insurance for glasses

With insurance you still end up paying a couple of hundred out of pocket if you want to get good glasses.
That's what I quit using it.
