running misloads

Problem now is that they are pushing 9.5 so hard, that alone prevents running misloads. They still have to get done but kw they scramble in other wasteful ways just to keep someone under 9.5 because the world ends if someone goes over.

eats packages

Deranged lunatic

Aint nobody was under 9.5 yesterday and aint nobody going to be under 9.5 today. City car has an extended range, cut car has 4 different areas to cover, business route is running resis. That they claim they can keep them under 9.5 after Wednesday's debacle is hilarious.

How can anyone know you have misloads....unless you either sheet them, or send them in when you find them.... How can management possibly tell you had a misload if you just throw it back onto the belt at the end of the day?

Sometimes management puts one in your car on purpose. Sometimes they do a scan check when you get back to the building.

If you're running misloads, can you get in trouble for just sheeting up businesses closed before 5 or just nsn for a bunch of packages?? because its impossible to deliver all of the misloads sometimes. Theres not much work so thats what they have me doing, but they could use it against me

ALWAYS drive to business location and sheet when there. You never know if somebody is waiting after-hours for a certain package or just staying late regardless... plus how are you going to post a scanned and filled info-notice if not on location?

Always send that misload in. Even if you find it at 16:45 and you know your supervisors head is going to explode lol I almost laughed as I did it today.

So you would rather have them tell you "Sheet it as missed" and have 5 missed packages? Isn't having a missed package worse than throwing that misload back on the belt?

Worse in what way?

Worse for the customer? Smoking a package is worse service than attempting to deliver it if possible, and if not possible at least providing the customer with visibility.

Worse for the company? Smoking a package is worse, because it's worse for our customers and also undermines our brand characteristics of "service" and "integrity".

Worse for management from a narrow perspective that doesn't include the company as a whole? Smoking a package is worse, because your management team cares about MOR + DNED (Missed on Road + Destination Not Equal to Delivery) as a combined metric. Having the package turn up as a DNED is not better, especially since it's possible it could have been delivered. Having a package not reported as a misload is worse for preload (and by extension: you and other drivers in the future), too, since they have no idea the misload even happened.

Worse for a service provider? Smoking a package is worse. As much as people here like to say that management is the enemy, we're all in this together, and things that are bad for the future of the company are bad for you too, in the long term. In addition to the other considerations, such as the fact that many drivers pride themselves on not intentionally screwing over customers, or the fact that you're at significant risk of losing your job for behaving this way.

Worse for a service provider that is fine with unethical and dishonest behavior, doesn't want to follow the methods for the job they were hired for, doesn't want some potentially very easy additional work, and doesn't care much for their job? Yeah, probably better to smoke packages. Or just resign and find another job? Let someone else driver in your stead who will appreciate having the job and will do the right thing.

Posts like this make you look like a troll. You really seem to believe that not sheeting packages is the right way to do things. Your career will be short lived if you are for real.
