The company must hire 6 PT from inside for every 1 off the street. You would be considered off the street. You would have a better chance at a FT delivery job by first working PT and bidding a FT job.

I have seen many seasonal drivers be encouraged to work PT after Peak with the chance to go FT later in the year.

No, I was just adding this for future reference to newbies who will search for this topic. .. there was another thread about ups package car handbrake and it wasn't covered in boot camp. So he was DQ ed... when it rolled away???

Others know about that thread... I'll let em fill u in and hopefully someone can do a similar diagram to my parking Break pedal instruckshens so this will be a more informative thread than some others looking for the insight into trying to get into the teamsters driving force.
