James Michener wrote "Caravans" in I think the '60's. In it he talked about how repressed Afghan life was between men and women. Trucks would carry groups of teenage boys around to various places where the boys were all dolled up and danced provocatively in front of men who paid for sex with them. Read awhile back that there's a certain day of the week, think it's Thursday, where Afghan men could have sex with a boy and it's allowed. It's one messed up world over there.
