It’ll get interesting if democrats throw everything at trump and send this to the senate for a trial.

Trump is going to be able to have subpoenas issued for everyone involved in the last three years. Democrats do not want this, they do not want that amount of exposure before 2020 or even leading up to 2024.

I highly doubt they will send anything to the senate before 2020.

Interesting article, but in reality, it would never come close to that.

There's no way in the world that Mumbles Moscow Mitch is going to open the floor for that type of nonsense.

If the House Impeaches Trump and it goes to the Senate, you have to know that Mitch is gonna shut it down as fast as he can.

It wouldn't serve Trump or Mitch or the Republicans to get into whatever the article is alleging is possible.

It's binary - Senate has a 'trial', votes yes or no.

I can't imagine Moscow Mitchum opening the Senate floor for the type of 'trial' you're thinking of.

I think it would benefit them greatly to do this. You’d have a bunch of high ranking democrats pleading the fifth at least.

Another alternative is to string the trial out with a final vote the day before Election Day.

As long as we’re getting conspiratorial, one other possibility is that if public sentiment towards Impeachment changes into ‘hang the orange bastard’, and Moscow Mitch realizes he’s the guy on the Titanic in charge of watching out for icebergs...

Mitch cuts a deal with Pence, convinces the Senate to Impeach Trump, Pence becomes Prez for six months and then Mitch kneecaps Pence right before the 2020 election, fully aware that Pence has the charisma of a doorstop and could never win the actual election.

They throw up Romney, or whatever...

Oh come on, none of us knows how this is gonna play out.

The top Democrat candidate has just been caught playing quid pro quo sleazy dirty, and possibly illegal politics, and you libturds are trying to spin it into a win.

Pathetic.

Got “caught” carrying out the will of the entire western alliance 5 years ago? It takes a special kind of stupid to believe that’s a scandal.

Trump is under the impression that if he keeps committing crimes, he can somehow normalize them and escape accountability. That's not how this works. As Trump grows more desperate, he's only going to further solidify the case for impeachment.
