I agree it makes no sense to lay off FT car washers and force delivery drivers to work the car wash at OT.

UPS is all about a number on a piece of paper.

They are doing that here right now. Reducing car wash hours.

Drivers are probably not coding out to car wash the little amount of time it takes them to drive through the car wash.

Objective achieved. Car wash hours are reduced, but the cars are still getting washed.

They don’t care that they’re paying drivers time and a half to drive through the car wash. That number on that piece of paper shows 8 hours reduced in the car wash every day.

The problem goes way beyond drivers simply driving their cars thru the wash tunnel, been doing that for decades, the drivers are actually parking cars after taking them to the primary to be unloaded. Some don't care because they are still getting their 8 hours along with 2 to 3 hours of paid downtime.
