I always wondered how UPS deals with these natural events like hurricanes, fires, floods , earthquakes , etc.

Where do they put all the packages that can build up over weeks?

What do UPSers do? collect unemployment?

Going to my old hub tomorrow to see what is going on. They feed South Lake Tahoe.
I had them as a feeder run years ago. Sparks to Rockland then Sacramento
Then SLT and back to Sparks.

Yes packages sit in the hubs and yes hourlys make nothing if they don't work.

Law enforcement is arresting looters all over even though there is a mandatory evacuation. the casinos with their good hearts have tripled their rates. The gouging law in emergencies does not go into effect in Nevada until October.
