I didn't say it was right or wrong but I know my center has sent messages saying that 2 hands on the wheel all the time. PCM's given that no drinks or food can be ingested while the vehicle is running. Anyone with any time in the Company drinks while at a light or stopped in traffic during the Company. They recently started the warning letters for "failure to follow methods and procedures" along with "failing to follow direction" for doing just that. The Local has backed them down everytime but they are following the practice in the district. Some of the other Locals haven't been as smart. Tell me to stay hydrated while they tell me to not drink on the car, and not stop without calling it a break to hydrate. Two faced buttwipes.

They tried that where I am several years ago. Manager observed driver taking a drink at a stop sign and issued a warning letter. Letter was rescinded when local argued that two hands can't be on the wheel at all times when turning on/off wipers or defroster or turn signals on some trucks.

EXACTLY. That is how our Local has had them thrown out.
