I ran over 2 dogs in my feeder truck in my career and did not stop.
You do NOT swerve or brake hard for animals.
absolutely correct....no one wants to hurt an animal but the drivers first responsibility is safety....loose dogs/cats/animals are a variable that can lead to tragedy........if you have ever hit an animal while riding a bike or motorcycle its an experience that I dont want to repeat.....its too bad owners aren't always responsible.....I am not in favor of bicyclists, runners joggers going on the side of the road instead of the sidewalk or on the trails.....
