Great timing! My Wife and I just got back from a trip to Crater Lake. Weather still is nice and the summer crowds are gone.

Its that time of year when the wife and I take a 2 or 3 week road trip with our toy hauler and Harley. We are thinking about heading through Tennessee and Kentucky. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do there?
Do the Dragon if you get over to the East side of TN.
Cade's Cove outside Townsend is a cool place.
Land Between the Lakes is cool, especially if you like Bal Eagles and other birds and lots of other wildlife.
Nashville is a nice place to visit and music everywhere.

I've heard the Dragon is a zoo on the weekends.

I've heard the Dragon is a zoo on the weekends.
I have a house close to there so I've always done it during the week.
The mountains are busy on the weekend everywhere.
It is close to GSMNP which is the most visited National Park.

The last 2 times I went through was to teach a photography workshop in the Smokies which begins on a Wed evening.

I've been through there a dozen times or more but it was during the week.
The only time I went through there during the weekend was in a VW bus probably 35 years ago.

The Deals Gap shop and grill is always hopping.
Good hamburgers.
