Taliban in control way to go Joe

This could have far more ramifications than just watching Afghanistan collapse into a terrorist hell hole worse than Gaddafi’s Libya. This has greatly weakened America and emboldened our enemies.
No one was actually stupid enough to pull out of Afghanistan and just throw away 20 years of sacrifice and investment until the corrupt senile old man came into office.

They were so blinded by their ideology and desire for a cheap political win. These people will do anything to maintain power, this was a sick desperate move that seriously *ed us.

Would Trump have pulled our troops out before ensuring Americans in areas outside of Kabul were out?

“The U.S. has no plans to evacuate Americans in Afghanistan who are located outside Kabul, according to a report Tuesday.

Officials from various departments — including State and Defense — informed Senate staffers at a Tuesday morning briefing that they do not know of a way to get those Americans through Taliban checkpoints located outside Kabul, the location of the main airport, The Washington Post reported, citing two Senate aides.”

One thing for sure about president tweeter, he never had a plan for anything.

donald's Defense Secretary Mark Esper said the US deal with the Taliban may have been "undermined" after Trump continued to try to get troops out of Afghanistan before the group met conditions that were part of the 2020 agreement.
He told Amanpour that Biden "owns the situation" and could have altered the current crisis by "extending the timeline, and taking a more thoughtful approach and not relying on simple assumptions."

Sloppy joe is President.
He owns this failure.

"The only way this conflict could have ended better was through a political agreement among Afghans that was conditions based, patient, and backed up by U.S. and allied militaries. We had this, but both presidents abandoned the process and stuck to an arbitrary timeline. (5/10)"

What a stupid thing to say.
Biden is President. He is the one who stuck to an arbitrary timeline.

And continued to push forward after the Afghans violated the conditions.

And the agreement said nothing about sneaking out in the middle of the night leaving billions of dollars of equipment for the Taliban to grab and abandoning thousands of US citizens.

That is such BS. Trump met with the Taliban, set conditions for withdrawing our troops, made it clear no American was to be harmed during our drawdown. Why do you think no American soldier died in our last 18 months there? Like everything else Biden ignored what Trump did. Biden stood there in July and talked about how highly trained the Afghan Army was, how powerful it was, no worries about us leaving. Pulled the troops before making certain that all Americans in the country were safely out of the country. All those Americans there now are his responsibility, not Trump's. As for other things compare how Trump handled the border compared to Biden. It was Trump who got vaccines for the virus when even Fauci said it couldn't be done and may never get done. After the last seven months do you think Biden would beat Trump in an election now? If you do you're either blinded by partisanship or dishonest.

The agreement reached with the Taliban in February 2020 required the Taliban to end all attacks on our troops, refuse safe harbor for terrorists, and negotiate with Afghan leaders on creating a new government. As long as the Taliban lived up to these conditions, the United States would gradually withdraw. The plan, Pence noted, was unanimously endorsed by the United Nations Security Council. It resulted in tremendous stability, and the United States hasn’t suffered a single combat casualty in the country for the past eighteen months, even with a small presence of only 2,500 U.S. troops, the smallest military presence since military operations began in 2001. The endless war was, as Pence said, coming to a “dignified end.” This was possible, Pence explained, because the Taliban understood “that the consequences of violating the deal would be swift and severe.”

The Taliban knew that the Trump administration meant business. Under Trump, our military took out Iranian terrorist Qasem Soleimani and the leader of ISIS. While the Taliban knew the Trump administration would keep its promise, the Biden administration was a different story. Biden, Pence explained, broke the deal with the Taliban by keeping U.S. forces in Afghanistan for four extra months “without a clear reason for doing so.” Pence also criticized Biden’s lack of a plan for transporting the billions of dollars of American equipment from the country, which is now in the hands of the Taliban. Biden also clearly had no plan to evacuate American citizens in the country before withdrawing the military and is now attempting a rushed resettlement of Afghan refugees with little or no vetting.

“It seems that the president simply didn’t want to appear to be abiding by the terms of a deal negotiated by his predecessor,” observed Pence.
