Another stupid talking point, the taliban is not an ideology. Every fighting force has an ideology, doesn’t make them some immortal boogie man.

Imagine if our grandfathers said, welp those Japanese folk got an ideology ya see, we couldn’t of done anything about them and we had imperial Japan on our west coast.

Japan was a country. We fought battles against.

Not some extremists hoping from cave to cave using planes and pipe bombs to try and attack us.

These wars have to be fought with intelligence to try and thwart the attacks before they happen.

The Afghan Army has essentially been doing all the fighting since 2014 against the Taliban with our air support and intelligence. They've suffered 50,000 casualties fighting those guys. With us not there they can't win and folded extremely quickly because they know they can't win. There's an estimated 88,000 Afghans who will likely be executed if we don't airlift them out of there. I'd say those Taliban dudes are pretty intimidating.
