Wow looks like paradise on earth from CNN’s perspective. Everyone so chill and calm. I guarantee you she went in there with their blessing and chance to propagandize on behalf of them. Try taking that burka off you clown.

Does seem pretty strange that she and her crew hadn't even tried to get to the airport as Kabul was falling. Doubt any of them were just like ":censored2: it, let's roll the dice on keeping our heads when they get here."

These leftist media giants are toxic. Just like that AP in Gaza.

No way.

You guys want Biden out?

That was the Democrat game plan the whole time. We want Biden in for as long as he is still on life support.
You guys see the ones waiting in line. We don't want that.
Without much thought, I disagree.

You must understand, this is the democracts plan no matter who is in office.
Biden was who they needed, he was the only one electable that the democrats had.
Period, and that took changing voting laws, unconstitutionally in swing states to get him elected.

Willie Browns Ho, Kamala, the next, in line was dismissed by her own party.

This is Bernie Sanders agenda.

Biden was the only democrat the democrats in charge of the party knew had a chance at beating Trump to move their agenda forward.

Bring on Willie Brown's Ho, democrats disliked her as much as everyone else.

Being abandoned literally overnight has a demoralizing effect on people that have come to rely on you...
Biden doesn't know anything about leading people or he does and he is so obsessed with obtaining a "hard liner" image, he thought this "tough guy" approach would not have backfire on him.

I can't believe how stupid this man is...
I can, he has close to a 50 year track record.

Let's round this all up:

  • Hubristic nation building.
  • Starry-eyed constitution writing.
  • Wildly unrealistic military training.
  • Vast corruption.
  • Lack of food and weapons for Afghan soldiers.
  • Bad negotiating from the Trump administration.
  • Afghan leadership void.

“While asserting “the buck stops with me,” Biden blamed Afghans in large measure for the chaotic evacuation at Kabul’s airport and conceded no missteps.”

"...the bulk of the blame has to be placed on the army. They were the ones on the ground. They were the ones who built an Afghan military that was completely unsuitable to the country. They're the ones who apparently never grasped the full extent of the corruption they were up against. They were the ones who advised four different US presidents that things were going well if they could just have a little more time and a few more troops."

Drum blames the Afghan army for the horrendous execution of our withdrawal?

If so, it sounds like the people over at the AP who are typically ardent Democrat deepthroaters should fact check Drum too.

Government officials have been getting paid off by the Taliban for months. That's why the provinces folded so quickly. The military was telling Biden it would be months before the Taliban could take over. As usual they were wrong.

"No one can claim to be surprised that the Afghan military folded. That it would has been clear for over a decade.

There are real questions, though, about whether the intelligence community knew how far up the Afghan government the plans to capitulate in exchange for payment went. And that question drives further intelligence questions. Ashraf Ghani has been privy to our Afghan intelligence collection. Hamid Karzai, who is playing a clear broker role but it’s not yet clear with and for whom, likewise was privy to a lot of our intelligence collection. The Taliban have had twenty years to learn how to evade our surveillance. Russia has been stealing key technical data for the last decade, focusing closely on our Afghan operations, and they seem quite chuffed with recent events.

If some or all those people have been working in concert, and may well have been since Trump acceded to this plan last year, it would be child’s play for them to hide from US intelligence how far up the chain of command would cede to the Taliban, if not actively disinform US intelligence. And that, in turn, would make it far easier to take over the country so quickly that the Taliban were even shocked.

If that happened, then it was a real intelligence failure that explains why the US wasn’t better prepared for the collapse of the Afghan government, even without excusing self-serving claims that the Afghan military might have lasted a week or a month or a year longer than they did."
