Biden put america first and you guys are mad?
Giving terrorists billions worth of advanced military equipment is not putting America first.

You people pretend this was an endless war. We weren't at war there anymore. You people pretend we're an evil empire. Empires don't leave behind the spoils of war.

Putting America first would be strip mining that :censored2: hole country of their rare earth minerals.

I like how republicans all the sudden care about Afghanistan, or the middle east in general. It’s a chance to * on Biden as usual.
We care that thousands of Americans as well as many thousands of Afghans were left stranded and it wouldn't matter which administration did it. We should have been out of Afghanistan long ago. And we shouldn't be dependent on Middle East oil. And Biden and his administration gives us plenty to dump on.

A treasure trove of rare earth minerals necessary for all the green technology BS. China is going to have a field day there.
The Brits, the Russians and now the Americans have all left Afghanistan bruised , bloody and broke. Now what makes you think China will fare any better?

It was Pompeo who negotiated the agreement upon which Trump unilaterally stated that all U.S. forces would be out of Afghanistan by May 1 2021. And when the agreement said 5-01-21 the Taliban meant exactly that. Clearly we were too slow pulling out compared to the agreed to date. Then again Ghani assured Biden that ANA would hold back the Taliban allowing an orderly US withdrawal.

What the hell are you even talking about?
We had control of that country until that feckless c*** sloppy joe was installed as president. We should have started taking their natural resources long ago.

point well taken..too slow....dont agree to a date and not abide by it....compromises integrity and costs lives...........and one has to wonder if the draft was still in effect if the war would have dragged on for so long....unlikely............the original purpose was to get osama...when we finally did we should have left......instead we ended up with more troops killed and wounded coupled with money wasted......we lost 42% of our kia ( not counting suicides ) from the time osama was killed.....piss poor planning, lack of priorities and dismal leadership...

May 1 came and went. June came and went July gone. How long does anybody think the Taliban would wait? It's not that they were too fast we were cumbersome and slow which you might have to expect when you look at the enormous size of the US physical plant inside Afghanistan along with the fact that Afghanistan a country the size of France has less than 50 miles of paved highway in any condition.

A good point you made about the draft. So the question is : how many Americans especially those critical of the decision would accept seeing their kid getting drafted to go fight a determined enemy motivated by nothing more than religion in a foreign country whose geography and topography overwhelmingly favors the enemy?

That isn't a good point.
It's a complete non sequitur considering the logistics of modern warfare.

Try again left winger.

They don't fight in the fall and winter.
Biden stalled until the fighting season and then withdrew without a plan. Biden is a complete failure.
