Democrats pointing to their degrees and saying they're the ultimate arbiters of truth isn't new, of course. It's just become intolerable now that they're saying leftist insanity is the truth. That's hurt the credibility of institutions that really matter.

It was good to see DNC co-chair David Hogg push back against leftist insanity to some degree on Bill Maher's show last night. The party has a long road back because leftist insanity is now a religion for many. It fills a hole for them. But at least we've got an indication that leadership knows what the actual problem is.

Isn't Hogg in a bit of hot water because he started talking about primarying incumbent Democrats? He's been so strident in his views that I'd be concerned, if I were a moderate Democrat, about trusting him.

Somebody has told him to tone down the rhetoric or else. If Democrats stop pushing trans rights, open borders, abortion, Medicare for all, etc I'll believe in his sincerity.

I've seen this guy go off too many times. He's virulently anti 2nd Amendment. I've seen the Democrats lie to shape public opinion too many times. It'll take more than a PR campaign to improve his and the Dems image to convince me.

I'm just glad that the proper neurons are firing for someone in Democratic leadership to at least know that leftist insanity is a problem for the party. I wouldn't be surprised if Hogg is actually still completely into it. I won't be convinced that there's actually been a turnaround until Democrats are regularly speaking out against it. There might not need to be a turnaround if Trump tanks our economy with tariffs.
