i agree but i just think its funny that Trump has the dems chasing the straw man when the fact is trump would never use it before he leaves office. So in this case our leaders are supposed to be smarter than us yet they could not do basic research and analysis. in this case they probably could figure it out but they think chasing the straw man is politically advantages to them

1) new presidential boeings are scheduled for 2027 but with current overuns probably wont be ready until 2029 at the earliest.
2) I've seen estimates that retro fitting the arab gift would take until 2030 before they are done. now maybe trump can get it sooner if he puts a boot up the right tucas and gets them to operate in trump time but its still a stretch to get it back before the end of trumps term.
3) normal security procedures call for two identical planes to fly so a potential shooter cant accurately guess which plane the president is on. I think there are currently five planes in a rotation that are identical. If trump gets that plane back and flies in that one only then thats a serious security risk . Assassins trained in identifying aircraft could tell the difference between a newer 747 and one forty years old. especially if trump gets a distinctive paint scheme as he has mentioned.

Trump had to accept it. It’s a great insult to refuse a gift in that culture. They don’t really care if he ever flies in it.
