im watching greenwalds analysis of everything to now regarding israel and iran
he thinks trump didnt understand nuclear enrichment and got tricked by the neo cons into no enrichment in the negotiations (because the neo cons wanted war) which iran was never going to agree to since they want to sell their oil and have nuclear reactors for domestic energy. he didnt say trumps an idiot but he might not be interested in the details.

Exactly what do you think the Iranians had in mind enriching uranium way beyond what's needed for nuclear energy? Why were they doing it in a massively reinforced concrete bunker 200 feet below ground? And they're already reaching a ceasefire with Israel. Your Iraq 2.0 isn't happening.

Didn’t watch Greenwald yet tonight, but he knows just as well as anyone enriching uranium up to 60% has nothing to do with domestic energy

greenwald says it gave them leverage in negotiations and a deterrent which people on here have argued nukes do and i agree even though im against them.
btw under obamas agreement they were allowed to enrich around 3.5 percent, enough for nuclear reactors. after trump ripped it up, which was a 2015 campaign promise, there is no limit to enrichment and indeed many countries enrich to higher numbers without having a nuke.
yea theres hope the war is over. what happened to iran losing the war? mearsheimer said it would end in a stalemate and i guess here we are. perhaps israels defences were gonna run out before iran.

Trump masterly brought a quick end to this altercation: how many including myself were doubting what was going on. Trump did a great job on this.
That does not mean Iran is going to stop trying to build a bomb. I’m under no illusions and I’m sure he’s not either Greenwald did not say Trump is an idiot or a mad man because he know he’s neither.
Trump understood today. The only way this stop is both Israel and Iran feel they came out with at least some sort of win. That was the only kind of negotiation that was going to work in this situation.
If he was fooled by the Warhawks, and neocons we would not be talking about the end of anything
no other countries do this. Iran is a sovereign country and if they want to enrich, so be it they just need to understand most of the rest of the world. Will not allow it.

Well, I like Greenwald and I think he is an interesting guy, but I don’t believe he’s correct if that’s what he said. If he would’ve been fooled, he would’ve continued. I believe Trump knew exactly what he was doing. Even if we don’t understand. Maybe Trump fooled the neocons.

Yes, Iran was just enriching uranium to 60% so they could get another deal with the US that would limit their uranium enrichment to 4%.

it gave them power in the negotations. the obama deal they followed at 4%. originally trump was going for the same but then he followed the neo cons and said 0%.
Show me these other countries that enrich past 60%? That's a ludicrous assertion. Israel has accomplished what it set out to do, neutralize Iran's ability to produce a nuke. And nukes are a deterrent AFTER they are built, not before. And Trump ripped up the agreement because Iran wasn't acting in good faith. They were refusing to let in inspectors.
If they thought enriching uranium to 60% gave them power in negotiations they certainly thought wrong, eh? You really believe they were willing to get bombed as hard as they did just for a civilian use only nuclear program?

no iran used it as a deterrent and leverage in negotiations. it gave them the option in the future to make a nuke, it wouldve taken a while. they werent in violation of hte NPT by going to 60%.

i dont think israel neutralized it. we dont know what happened regarding those 3 attacks america did. i dont know why the war stopped, probably because it was going to be a disaster one way or another for israel / iran and america.
